Again, what I like about online video is that it inspires many people ! I started talking about diggnation a long time ago, saying that its casualness and friendliness made it a very interesting video concept.
Look what happened? Our French blogfather, Loic Le Meur himself liked the show so much that he has started to videoblog a lot, and has started to host a show CLEARLY inspired by diggnation, called Podclash (episode 2)! So here’s what is similar, and here what is different 
:
SAME
- Loic is doing a show with his buddy, Thomas. (Kevin does the show with his old time pal Alex)
- all are sitting on a couch
- all have a laptop on their laps
- diggnation guys have stickers on their laptops (so Web 2.0), so do Thomas & Loic
- diggnation guys drink all the time and taste a new beverage everytime, T&L also
- Kevin runs a business and talks about it (digg.com), Loic runs a business and talks about it (SixApart Europe)
- both hosts are male on diggnation, same with Podclash (not the case at CommandN.tv!)
- The host on the left wears glasses (Alex and Thomas)
- The guy on the left is blond, the guy on the right has dark hair
- both shows go through user comments
- both shows are prepared rather loosely which make them fun
- both shows run for about 30–45 min
- diggnation talks about what has happened on the blogosphere and the Internet in the past week; podclash talks about what happened in the world…
- on diggnation, the guys laugh all the time, same on podclash
MODIFIED
- the show is called PODclash, not diggnation France
- diggnation uses PCs, French are more cool and chic: Loic & Thomas use Macs
- diggnation drink beer, Podclash drinks wine
- diggnation hosts are both geek: on are resp. a non-geek (he’s a journalist with the International Herald Tribune, but yeah… Alex is also one I hear focused on games) and a geek
- diggnation is sponsored by godaddy.com and a number of occasional guys. podclash is not yet sponsored by vpod.tv
although I hear that might be the case soon - diggnation have a cameraman; podclash have to deal with the 35–hour week, and don’t have one
- Alex & Kevin have hi-fi mic, podclash have only 1 stereo mic in the middle (I actually like this setup, more amateur)
- diggnation is in English, podclash is in French (although Thomas is a non-native French speaker)
- Loic has committed himself to giving 1 euro to a charity everytime he says ‘blog’ on the show. Good initiative!
- Diggnation has quick shownotes. Loïc, you should add them to all the stories you talk about.
- Kevin & Alex share stories on their laptops and browse stories there. Thomas & Loic are still using paper Save forests guys !
My only advice: Loic, why don’t you put a clock in the wall in front of you instead of looking at your computer on the left all the time
