Yep, the word is out… I was at a party on saturday evening with a lot of great folks, and engaged in great discussions about a number of industry categories within the technology market. And to the question: ‘so what are you up to now that you’re not into DVDs ?’… well I kinda of said ‘I’m working on launching this new company that should do this… and that… because the market… the customers… the distribution channels…’. And I did get a lot of ‘hey that’s a great concept! Let’s lunch! Come and see me’. Thanks to everyone for their support. Actually it’s probably 2 companies or 2 business models in the same sector. I still need to sort that out and focus on just one. Anyways, I’ll come public with it when everything looks more solid.
In the meantime, I spent my sunday at IKEA, getting some new desks / chairs and shelves for the newco. So I’m playing handyman tomorrow and it looks great.
Next: a whole new setup of computers (I’m thinking Dell bi-Xeon), cause I’m running a couple of old generation boxes in terms of CPU (and if you were still wondering, I didn’t switch at the AppleExpo – something I’d rather not talk about pissed me off). Oh, and at IKEA, I did spot a couple of absolutely great orange leather sofas for the office. Perfect for fireside chats, negos, and naps! Hey, if I’m going to spend 14 hours a day in the office, I’d rather like it
