Folks, this has been a whirlwind experience!!!
I stopped blogging a couple of days ago as I decided I had had enough of Japanese futuristic technology, and changed hotels to a sh***y ryokan (= local hostel) in Asakusa, the neighbourhood of what is left of old Tokyo. After Shibuya and all its lights, kind of a shock. Nevertheless I slept next to a Shinto shrine, opposite a Buddhist temple, on the floor on a futon :) Very funny experience.
If you're lucky I might even post a short movie about my first experience of a Karaoke with friends last night. Lots of noodle soups (ramen), of hand talk, and of better understanding of the Japanese culture. I'll try to summarize all these thoughts in a long post, but hey, I felt like that Portuguese guy that showed up in the 17tyh century: Japanese people look like Westerners, but they are very different, in every sense.
Some pictures of my trip:
I'll blog again in about 13 hours, when I get to the next lounge at London Heathrow for my connecting flight to Paris!
