Jean-Michel Billaut, the grand-father of the French digital revolution mentions musicplasma today on his blog:
its a new kind of contextual music search engine that connects any artist name to others that are in the same field: worked great with 'Joshua Redman' (click on the pix), but less well with 'Cecilia Bartoli' the opera mezzo-soprano.
Waow, it seems this technology was spotted by Bezos, from Amazon.com. Apply it to books, to other keywords, to concepts, etc. Almost endless possibilities for cross-selling.
Of course the engine interfaces with Amazon's APIs so that you can deeplink directly onto the product page on their site. Very cool.
