Our blogging buddy, Russell Beatie, is splitting with his employer and is preparing to stand in the line. Somehow he also has some hopes of starting his own business.

I have been reading Russ' blog for some months now, and I like his wit, his creativity, his guts, and to some extent his good analysis of the US Market. Therefore, please help me in cheering him up and suggesting the following:
For Russ!
1) open a paypal donate account: and use it if you need it, displaying it prominently on your site
2) keep posting as much as you can: use the free time you have to research everything you hadn't had time for
3) go help the Kerry campaign. I read that it is loosing momentum, and that is not too good. Create some viral mobile app to help the next 8 few weeks!
For investors:
4) it would be re"ally smart of you to contract Russ to do the due diligences on some of the tech ideas you are being presented these days, in particular in the mobile space
5) you might want to drag him in as 'entrepreneur in residence' to help him write his business plan, although I expect his perl/java writing skills to have more field experience than his financial modelling
For tech companies in the mobile space
6) hire him as an evangelist, or R&D guy.
7) contract him on a project: although I get the impression he enjoys more creating than developping, and that this miight not be the best use for his talent.
