Me today working at one of our companies. Someone started playing with my phone...
Update: OK, this is the last of my mobile phone postings. I've tried a number of mobile bloggin solutions and each have their own advantages:
- Nokia's blogging app for Symbian is cute (today's postings used it) but only allows up to 5 images. You can give a title to your post, write a caption for each picture, and enter a post message. Not possible however to specify categories. Not possible also to take a picture within the blogging application, hence requiring you to take the picture first and blog afterwards (AgileMessenfer for example allows you to take a pix within the app and IM it directly to your buddy)
- Picoblogger is nice, however it is not a free solution (5 day trial) and has some of the same defects as above
- Typepad's email solution asks you to send one picture or more pictures by email
- I've done the same thing with Flickr, although Flickr splits the post into several messages if you attach several pictures.
From now on my mobile pictures will go into my Moblog blog (link on the right). It's easy to set up: create another weblog within Typepad, configure it with layout & design, and add a link to your main blog. Typepad unfortunately only allows you to set up one mobile email address per ID, whatever the number of blogs you have.
