Something very nasty I noticed today. The French version of Amazon displays prices that do not include taxes. hence when you shop around, you believe in good faith you are buying with taxes included as in any real store / library, and most web sites out there.
But, after a few screens (ie. after entering credit card information, addresses, etc.), a small window on the right hand side, adds TAXES (a nice 19.6% VAT) to the prices. And suddenly your bargain hunt, is not a real bargain anymore.
Deceptive, isn't it ? I cancelled my purchase.
